One of the great things about our community is that we have, as above, so many who are willing to step in and help out when needs arise. We always take a full truck food of food to Sharing and Caring. When we need new prayer books or the Torah repaired, we always have those that step in to cover any costs that are over budget.
Two weeks before Rosh Hashanah, one of the four air conditioner units at the Temple gave out after many years of service. While we had not budgeted for a
new A/C unit this year, we were able to make a quick decision and move some funds from reserves normally dedicated to insurance deductibles to complete the replacement in time for High Holy Days services. I am sure everyone appreciates a cool Temple. If you have been looking for an opportunity to ontribute over and above your dues, please consider this as your opportunity. We will need seveal thousands of dollars to cover the cost of the A/C Unit and replenish the general fund.
If we all work together and give what we can, this will be taken care of in no time. If you would like to participate please make your checks payable to Temple Beth Shalom and write A/C in the memo line. Your help, your membership, and your generosity are greatly appreciated.
